Our Hospice South shops are places of discovery. People visit to browse, to furnish a first home, to find something special, or simply to enjoy the experience.
Every purchase helps fund hospice care for local families – but we hope you’ll come for the experience, stay for the community, and leave with something you love.
A Community Supporting Care
Every item has been loved. Now it’s Reloved.
When someone donates a jacket, a set of dishes, or a box of books to one of our Hospice South shops, they’re doing something quietly special – giving those items a second life and helping ensure that when a Southland family faces one of life’s hardest moments, they won’t face it alone.
Hospice South receives less than half of its funding from the Government. The rest comes from the generosity of our community, and our shops are one of the most important ways that happens.
A donated coat helps fund a nurse’s visit. A few hours volunteered becomes care, comfort, and dignity when it matters most.

There are many ways to support Hospice South through our shops.
Whether you’re searching for something unique, clearing out a wardrobe, or looking for a meaningful way to spend a few hours each week – there’s a place for you in our community of supporters.
- Shop for quality pre-loved clothing, homewares, books, furniture, and unique finds at any of our Hospice South stores. And if you’re in Invercargill, come visit our newest store, Reloved by Hospice South.
- Donate quality items in good condition so they can find a new home – and help fund hospice care close to home.
- Volunteer your time. A few hours a week becomes care, comfort, and dignity for families who need it most.
- Spread the word – tell your friends, family, and community about our shops and the difference they make.

Donating goods
Our shops rely on the generosity of the community, and donated goods are what keep them going. Every item that comes through our doors is sorted, priced, and prepared for sale by our shop teams and Volunteer Talent – ready to be loved by someone new.
We’re grateful for every donation. Please take a moment to check these guidelines before dropping anything off.
What we love receiving

Items we can’t accept
- Broken, damaged or heavily worn items
- Clothing with stains, rips or pet hair
- Mattresses and used pillows
- Computers, printers and mobile phones
- Hazardous chemicals, paint or gas bottles
- Medicines, used cosmetics or pet medications
- Weapons or prohibited items
- Expired child safety equipment
Volunteer in our shops
Our shops run on the generosity of people who show up – neighbours, retirees, students, and locals who’ve found a sense of purpose and community they didn’t expect.
Volunteering in a Hospice South shop means your time translates directly into care for local families. No experience needed – just a willingness to be part of something good.
Volunteers help with customer service, sorting and pricing donations, merchandising, and general shop operations.
Many of our volunteers tell us they get far more than they give. We think that’s just how community works.
